Electric Trickery

A couple of years ago Laurent Clerc, better known as Little People, put out the ‘We Are But Hunks Of Wood’ album which followed up his slow-burning ‘Mickey Mouse Operation’ debut, which despite initially having poor commercial reception, and after something of a second wind, went on to achieve a top thirty spot on iTunes Electronic Music purchases. Purposely shying away from the sample-heavy sound of its precdecessor in favour of some carefully crafted and broader reaching sounds, the album is now subject of a remix release curated by Clerc himself, which is free to download at Bandcamp, and features interpretations from beat makers such as Blockhead, Sun Glitters, Marley Carroll and Emancipator. They’re joined by three artists of the Adandon Building roster, namely Escaping Animals, Set In Sand and Rachel Boyd, who all have material either out now or forthcoming through the London label.

  3. Awesome website you have here but I was wondering if
you knew of any user discussion forums that cover the same topics talked
about in this article? I’d really like to be a part of community where I
can get comments from other experienced people that share the same interest.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
